George is Co-Director and Chief Commercial Officer at bio-bean, the world’s largest recycler of spent coffee grounds. George has overall responsibility for the company’s commercial strategy and its implementation across collection of spent coffee, product development and the sales, distribution and marketing of bio-bean’s various bio-products.
As one of the original team George has overseen the launch of bio-bean’s first two innovative solid fuel products to market, including the bestselling eco-friendly winter fuel, Coffee LogsTM. George built a supply chain that works for thousands of independent coffee shops, transport hubs, offices and major chains like Costa Coffee across the UK, and ultimately has helped recycle thousands of tonnes of waste coffee grounds and save tens of thousands of tonnes of CO2. Most recently George and the team have launched to market bio-bean’s natural flavouring product made from spent coffee grounds, applicable to the food and beverage sector, and are exploring new business opportunities for bio-bean’s dried, spent coffee grounds as a raw material for bio-based innovations.
