Iakovos (BSc in Physics, MSc in Telecoms) is a senior consultant at the International Projects Dpt. at Q-PLAN INTERNATIONAL ADVIROS with more than 17 years of professional experience in providing innovation management services to research, industrial and public organisations at EU, national and regional level. He has a long track-record as a manager / coordinator of EU policy studies, R&D projects and coordination & support actions (BIOWAYS (H2020-BBI-JU), DANELION (H2020-IIRS), ISABEL (H2020-ENERGY), PLATON+ (FP7-SSH), BALCON (FP7-ICT), HAGRID (FP7-ICT), etc). Moreover, he has long experience in the design and implementation of a wide range of activities (co-creation workshops, hack-days, networking activities, information stands, etc.) facilitating interaction among all stakeholders based on the Quadruple Helix model with a view to support co-creation and transfer of scientific knowledge in BIOBRIDGES (H2020-BBI), BIOVOICES (H2020-KBBE), Cities-4-People (H2020-Transport), INVITE (H2020-IIRS-Co-Creation), EECA-2-HORIZON (FP7-ICT), TIPS (FP7-Transport), Health-2-Market (FP7-Health), SCUBE-ICT (FP7-ICT), PLATON (FP6-INNOVATION), etc. Among others, he was a) moderator of the discussions during the BBI-JU Projects’ Day 2019 (BIOBRIDGES project, 3/12/2019, Brussels, BE), b) the main organiser of the bioeconomy Focus Group workshops (BIOVOICES project, 13-14/11/2018, Brussels, BE and BIOBRIDGES project, 12/9/2019, Brussels, BE), c) the main author of the “Bio-based products and applications market potential” and “Public perception on bio-based products” reports (BIOWAYS project, 2017), and the “Cross-sector cooperation challenges among consumers, brand owners and the bio-based industry” report (BIOBRIDGES project, 2019).
