Leon Wagener first studied agricultural sciences (B.Sc.) at the University of Bonn and then made his M.Sc. in Biobased Products and Bioenergy at the University of Hohenheim.
During his studies he completed an internship at the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW) where he made a research on the topic “Power-to-gas” and published two papers about hydrogen and the chemical-catalytic methanation. There he also did further research on the testing of sorbents to an efficient CO2-supply from the air.
In 2018 he started working at REDcert as a project manager. His field of activity includes the development of projects as well as the enhancement of the system, such as the development of the new certification approach for the chemical industry. Due to his comprehensive knowledge of GHG-emissions calculation, he also provides GHG-support and gives trainings in GHG-calculation in an international context.
