Zoritza Kiresiewa is working as a Fellow at Ecologic Institute where she focuses on bioeconomy and sustainable development. She has a strong interest in the participatory development of bioeconomy strategies and the extent to which the bioeconomy could contribute to global food security and sustainable use of resources as well as the respective consequences for the environment .
Zoritza Kiresiewa supported the overall management of the recently completed H2020 project “Promoting Stakeholder Engagement and Public Awareness for a Participative Governance of the European Bioeconomy” (BioSTEP) and is currently managing the project “Bio-based Strategies and Roadmaps for Enhanced Rural and Regional Development in the EU” (BE-Rural). She is also responsible for Ecologic Institute’s contribution to a research project (funded by German Environment Agency) focused on the cross-references and interdependencies of the bioeconomy to SDG2 and SDG15.
